Sorry guys for posting a simple question, but last Thursday I bought a new 2008 328i Convertible and the dealer forgot to give me the owner's manual.

My navigation volume is way too low. I have searched the menu again and again, but cannot find where you adjust the navigation voice volume.

Could someone let me know?

thank you.

To the left of the CD and DVD slots is a little volume knob. It controls the volume of the currently active sound source.

So in order to change the nav volume you have to turn that knob while the nav system is "talking".

I have one of the "star" keys on the steering wheel configured to repeat the last spoken nav command (this is done through the settings in the idrive). So I just hit that button to make the nav system talk then turn the volume knob accordingly.

Hope this helps.

This is specifically explained in the owner's manual. It's got a lot of useful information that you might want to read before you go asking opinions on a forum. But yes, you can only adjust the navigation volume, while it's "talking". You can use either of the 2 volume controls that we have available.

Perhaps if you would read his post, you would realize that he admitted that he didn't have a manual and was openly apologetic about it...

Sheesh, give folks a break before jumping down their throats. :nono

Yeah man, this forum is for BMW questions. I know some seem old and the users manual is the obvious choice, but not everyone has one handy all the time.. Most of us on here don't mind answering simple questions.

EISEN is correct, here is what the manual states (see below):

ConvertibleJAE, you can obtain a .pdf version of your manual via the BMW Owner's web site if the the seller doesn't provide you with one.
