Looking at something that I can rebuild over time. Of course, I need it to be free of scoring.
If the doner started out as a complete build with verifiable low miles or leak down..even better. holla' Keith

never buy used bearings. They are cheap

A bearing is seated very uniquely to both the crank bores it seats in, and the crankshaft journals that ride in it. These measurements are taken to the .0001 of an inch.
It is a bad idea to use them in the same block, if you switch them around, nevermind put them in a different block with a different crank, and this is all assuming they are in great shape..
If you are rebuilding an engine, you are going to be spending quite a bit of money, first of all bearings are not the place to be chinsy, but maybe you should reconsider if you have this tight of a budget.
