Anyone else here thinking of going? 4/30-5/3....They are expecting over 500 MINI's this year. Sounds like a lot of fun, I just made my reservations. Accommodations are already getting scarce. Check it out (http://www.northamericanmotoring.com/motd-overview)....

I always go. wife is going this year too.

We're camping at Fontana, we'll be there thursday mid day through Sunday morning.

It is always a great time, but Tennessee has really stepped up enforcement on the Dragon lately, so we might take the drive to Highlands this year.

If you can, get in on the Brew Swap and the Monte Carlo night festivities. Both are really fun.

Yeah - I was lookin to take a bike trip down that way last summer until I read through this - http://www.bikercamps.com/index.php/tail-of-the-dragon-news - but the last entry says they've calmed down some, so maybe it's worth a shot.....

The dragon is awesome and a must-do at least once in a Mini. The best part of the event will be the rest of the Mini-folk there, though. As far as roads go, I actually enjoyed the blue ridge parkway on the way home a lot more.

They had 400+ last year, are expecting over 500 this year. They just opened registration today, and 126 cars are registered.....

Me and my Girlfriend [miss_m007] on NAM and MU.

I am so excited to go. This is my first trip to the dragon and I get to take a nice car. I'm still bummed about not having the M3 anymore so this will be a pleasure for me.

PS: I can't wait for Brew Swap.

Baltika Porter
Delirium nocturnal
Kelpe seaweed ale
lionstout
kasteal red
bear republic.

HA not trying to show off, just sharing what I'm brining. I've never had what your brining. You need to try some of this stuff I'm brining though.

It's expensive kinda though. The cheapest bottle of beer I am brining is like $4.80 and the most expensive is I think $15.00

These are delicious.

I just received notice that they were counting on over 500 cars, and so far the registration is WAY down (192 cars). They are going to have to start making commitments based on anticipated turnout, so they are asking people to go ahead and register if they intend on going.......
