Has anyone out there ever installed this exhaust or know somone who has? What are the pros and cons and how does it compare to some of the other forum favorites (like AA Gen 3 for example)?

As I mentioned in my exhaust querry, I have driven a uuc equipped M3, and found it just too loud. The freeway noise in particular was unacceptable for daily driving. The build quality looked great.

upgranding the exhaust is a waste of money....u spend bout 800 just for one hp, the stock M3 exhuast is a great one... i hear good things bout the borla. as well as the supersprint....be wise!

I put a used UUC exhaust on my '95 M3 about a month ago, the exhaust had about 8,000 miles on it, so it was well-broken in already.

It *is* loud. I've had a Supersprint on my M Coupe, a Borla and a B&B on my previous '95 M3 and the UUC is noticeably louder.

The Supersprint on my M Coupe was only loud if you really put your foot in it, but at cruising speeds, it was barely noticeable. The UUC is LOUD when you put your foot into it, and it's still noticeable at cruising speeds.

The good thing about it is, it sounds GOOD. And there's a noticeable improvement at the higher RPM range. I can see how some people would probably get tired of listening to it, but it's a very sweet exhaust note even when you're in 5th gear cruising at highway speeds. If you don't like loud exhausts, stick to the Supersprint or the Borla.

I just installed a used UUC Exhaust, and I love it. It IS significantly louder than stock so be careful. I agree on spending 800 bucks for little to no performance gains is ridiculous, but I bought mine used so I only paid half (or else I would never buy an exhaust). I recommend searching on the bimmer.org message board b/c there's always someone selling an exhaust.
