Head unit LED lights (replacement?)

My head unit seems to be loosing LED lights in my 2003 540i. I was wondering if there is an aftermarket replacement that compatible with my car or should I have it repaired and to whom do I send it to? Who would be the best company to go with for an aftermarket replacement? I also have Sirius radio so a unit that is compatible with that is a plus.

I suppose I need to a manual so I know how to take the unit out. Should I buy the one I see in stores or order a service manual?
