Noise

Recently My car has developed a noise in the steering wheel. The noise sounds like whirling sound or plastic on plastic, also when you turn the wheel slowly there is no sounds only during moderate turning. I searched and found a thread about the squeaky steering wheel, I lubed the slip ring and also the lower bearing with grease It didn't help at all. Is anyone experiencing the same noise? or is there even a solution for it? -thanks

do you still have the original steering wheel. if so its the peice that links the wiring for the airbag to the airbag itself.its like a large black peice that has 2 orange connectors comming out of it. happened to me. just have to replace it. the wheel will start to bind if you dont.

Yea I still have the original steering wheel. My car has only 60k on it right now, also when you first start the car in the morning the sound is not there, only after driving 1 min the sounds comes back. Do you know the part number for that piece?

Any news? I have the same problem, more when turning to the right, near the 0º spot.
