So I'm going to get the rear M5 bumper, what exhaust should I look at? Obviously my stock one will not work.

Supersprint everything from headers back.

search his name.. he's like the biggest picture whore in the e39 section, lol. That said the "best" is still supersprint everything ;)

Doesn't necessarily have to be the best choice for my car as far as cost and quality goes. I just do not want to put a grapefruit launcher on my car.

the best choice is what you can afford. magnaflow is the bang for the buck exhaust. you could spend more and go with more exotic like eisenmann. supersprint is really nice quality and will also run a little extra cabbage.

Do you guys know anything about OBX? I saw some headers and full catback for my 5er.

M5 bumper? You're planning on cutting out the floor of your trunk to make room for the dual M5 exhaust? Consider the M-Tec bumper cover - it makes much more sense!

They are the same thing minus the bit of black trim.

Dyno results show a whopping 18hp increase in some applications!

I'll believe that when I see it.

LOL yeah, said the same thing about the exhaust. They claim 22hp with just headers.

I'm buying the DDM kit. I just want something that will fit through the rear difuser.

Stay away from Eisenmann. Seems like they're not represented anymore in NA, and lots of fake Eisenmann from Asia were sold. Eisenmann got mad and revoked the exclusivity to the dealer (Eisenhaus I think). Eisenmann (the real ones) are handmade in Germany and very robust and verrrrrrry expen$$$$$ive

+1, Yeah, a couple of heads of cabbage... they're about 5-6 times the cost of Magnaflow

I believe that Mtech rear bumper (single exhaust cut-out) is like on the '03 540 MSport.

M5 rear bumper is the dual exhaust cut-out.

I believe you are right. So would a Magnaflow 18415 fit without an issue?

Supersprint! Only supersprint!
SS rear exhaust + SS center pipe instead of resonator

Supersprint is WAY TOO MUCH MONEY.

I just put a magnaflow on mine yesterday. It's really similar to Gumbi's except I went with an 18" length so it has a bit of a deeper more subtle tone... I'm not sure what the exact model is though...

Sweet. I'm debating if I should do the exhaust now or until the M-Tech is painted and mounted.
