hello all. got a question here on tire sensors. i have 2001 740il and was replacing the orignals with some replica wheel . my car has the low tire sensor on it but was told by a dealership it is not in the tire but elsewhere near the wheel?? i did a breakdown of the spare tire and found no sensor in side the stem or rim ( however this was the spare same style though) it apears the stems on the other wheels don't appear to have the threaded nut on the stems like the stem comes apart for rplacement of the new stem does anyone have any info of this sistsuation?? thanks for any help

That car uses the ABS/DSC senors for the tire monitor. It compares the wheel speeds, if one is considerably different then the light comes on. Just mount up the new wheels/tires and reset the tire light. Should be good to go.
