so i just picked my car up from the local indy bmw specialist who put in a new clutch, throw out bearing, rear main seal, and they modded the cdv. all i can say is....wow. wow, wow, wow......i thought the clutch was screwed up as soon as i got in the car cause it was so soft, so smooth, just .....wow. engages nicely, easy to drive, and the modded cdv....everything just works perfect.

for anyone in the dayton, ohio area, i'd highly recommend foreign car service and parts for anything. the guys in service are very knowledgable and will answer any questions thrown at them.

Costs a little more than this (http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/search.php?searchid=8140797) which is free. :)

i'm assuming the "this" tag was supposed to refer to the search button.....if you search "cdv" it will give you all the info. you'll ever need on what it is, how it works, why it could/should be modded, and the net effect (clutch delay valve).

i supplied the flywheel ($383.99 + tax from autozone....LUK) and they did everything else (clutch kit - disc/pressure plate/throwout bearing/flywheel bolts, rear main seal, mod cdv, and labor).....grand total with tax came to $972.xx
