I've got a problem with my driver's side window. About a month ago it stopped working, however when I pushed the switch up or down, I would hear a click, but get no movement. After a few days it just started working again.
Now a few days ago I'm having the same problem. If I push the button, I hear a click, but the window doesn't move at all. Not sure if its the motor since its still making that initial noise. Any ideas?

I spent months with a similar problem and it drove me crazy. Tried new motor and new regultor. Didn't fix the problem. Turned out that the bushing that holds the motor gear shaft in place in the regulator was worn out, causing the motor gear to get torqued out of alignment, and as a result, the motor worm gear teeth chewed into the plastic ring gear and......well, all you need to know is to do the following first, and see if it works:
buy a new bushing for the regulator. it is labeled "bush" on realoem.com right under the motor on the parts list.
also buy some new plastic sliders. These parts wear out and sabotage your whole window system. could save you a huge headache for only $10.
maybe i should really explain this and make it a sticky? :ponder
Yeah, a sticky might help. I'll be digging into my door innards soo and messing with the actuator, slider, etc.

I'm thinking I do have a problem similar to this. I can hear it trying to go and it sounds like it is just stuck on something.
I have the door panel taken apart and was trying to find out if I could see where its getting stuck. I can hear it behind all this stuff but not sure how to get to it. Any advice? Thanks

Did you remove the lower motor cover? Its missing in the photo. You'll need to remove the regulator assembly with motor from the door. Its kind of a pain, but just takes patience. Do a search there are a few writeups.
That bushing that i was talking about is located where the motor gear nests into the regulator. If it is damaged at all, replace it.
Take the regulator out of the door, and separate from the motor. Then test each individually. If the motor "tries to move" but doesn't (ie getting power, but is seized), then take the top cover apart and try to dislodge the worm gear from the wheel. Hope this helps.

Ya I did remove the motor cover in that pic.
I'll do a search and try to find that write-up. Thanks for the info.
