I just did them. It took about 25 mins and two burns on the back of my hands. :mad I got mine from Advance auto parts Bosch 13477 for $80.11. This are the direct plug in no splicing required. The car seams to idle better than before. I was getting 18.5 mpg I will report back once I get a few miles on the car with new mpg. This is on a 99 540i.

did mine last week. mileage so far seems to be down slightly, though ive been getting on it a bit more for some reason. car is more responsive though i dont expect to see much a difference until the collapsed cat is replaced.

I need to replace mine too. This 540 doesn't seem to get as good mpg as my last one. Already done the plugs, filter, maf clean. Now it's time for the O2s...

Wonder why autozone is listing 15736 for my 2000 540?
Never mind.... I'm a retard. Had the wrong vehicle selected.

I had mine done by the dealer 2 weeks ago (both pre-cat sensors under CPO warranty). My mileage went from 25 to 30 highway, no other changes. I make the same 90 mile trip each way several times a week and the results are repeatable. They used parts numbered 11-78-1-742-050, I presume BMW parts

what did you say to get them to do this on CPO warranty? or, what symptoms did your car have?
