I currently have two laptops that I am thinking of using for the above program. One has XP with a 9 pin serial port and the other is running Vista with USB ports only. Am I wasting my time with either of these and should I look for an older, cheap laptop that is running Windows 95 or NT on it (the help files seem to indicate NT is as new as one can go). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Tks!

You can easily find it with file sharing software.

Like which one? I don't know anyone that uses anything besides torrents anymore including me.

tried that a long time ago nothing came up. I might be using it wrong though since I've never used it before.

I searched for boob though just to make sure it worked and a ton of crap came up, so..

^^^ Good stuff. That's the stage I'm at now once I get a "new" laptop that I can dedicate for just this program.

I also have an answer to my own question. It appears that any version 6.4 and newer will run with Window 2000 and XP. Not sure about Vista yet though. All I had to do was read through the German pdf that came with the program. Doh!

I have one that runs on XP and VISTA. But the machine has a built-in serial.

However, when using a FTDI usb/serial converter on XP or Vista, it won't connect.
