Alright I was waiting in my car earlier and notice my idle is around 500+ so i turned on the a/c on and the heater was set to max...then i rev it to 1000 and its mostly steady for a few and then it starts wavering up and down, but not a lot. Its basicly surging like putting gas on and then backing off the gas,but my foot is dead steady. whats the going on.
should i try the same thing without the a/c on, becasuse it seemed to possibly be apart of the surging, through the belts?

the problem is your "idle control valve" located until the intake manifold. It needs to be removed and cleaned with carburetor cleaner. When it gets old, the valve tends to stick or just not work (in which case it would need to be replaced but it sounds like yours needs to be cleaned).
If you do it yourself it won't cost you a dime.
