Yes it does look very much like a G35. I think the rear fenders do it.

Are you sure they're going to race it this season? On the Rahal/Letterman team website it says: "Today’s announcement, which came in conjunction with the unveiling of the new BMW M3 race car at the Chicago Auto Show, will see Rahal Letterman Racing campaign a full-time, two-car effort beginning in 2009."

Awesome. Porsche won't be able to bitch anymore like they did with the previous M3 GT-R. Saying that with a V8 it wasn't an actual production car.

Anyone notice whats in the background in the third pic? Thats right, E92 M3. This past weekend in Monterey was the press release day for the 1 series and the new M3. They had 30 new M3s at the track and I saw a bunch of 128s and 135s driving around town. The 135 in Sadona Red is HOT! Cant wait for the car to be released!
