lol

I installed this because here gas is too expensive and I can buy LPG in half of the price.
The car has 3 to 4 hp less and fuel consumption is +5 to 7%.
LPG system has ECU unit which receives signals from BMW ECU.
On start up engine runs on gas but when engine temp. comes at 40C, automatically goes on LPG.
In the cabin I have small switch with 5 LED-s to tell me how much propane I have in the "tank".

That's awesome. I wonder if anyone is doing this in the states? How many miles per "tank" of LPG do you get? What's the capacity of the tank?

you've done this in michigan? Interesting.

How much did the conversion cost?

Never seen one of these on this type of car before.

In Argentina (where i'm from) Most people make 60% less than what people make here, yet gasoline cost as much or more than here, and it's not even imported!!! figure that one out!!!!

So they pay the equivalente of $6.50 per gallon for super.

They use CNG. It seems to be very economical. Lots of taxis run on it.

Have you any concerns with this statement;

When LPG is used to fuel internal combustion engines, it is often referred to as autogas. In some countries, it has been used since the 1940s as an alternative fuel for spark ignition engines. More recently, it has also been used in diesel engines. Its advantage is that it is non-toxic, non-corrosive and free of tetra-ethyl lead or any additives. It burns more cleanly than petrol or diesel and is especially free of the particulates from the latter.
There are two downsides. Firstly it has a lower energy density than either petrol or diesel, so the equivalent m.p.g. is worse, but since many governments impose less tax, it is still usually more cost effective. Secondly, some designs of internal combustion engine require the lubrication of petrol or diesel and LPG's lack thereof can shorten or damage valves.

In the states? I don't think so.
Capacity of the tank is 60 liters, but I can pump in just 51 liter, because 20% has to be air to push LPG out.
I'm new on this think but I think I gonna get arund 220 miles with 51 liter, so thats 34 euros. If I drive 220 miles on gas, the price would be 65.

No. lol
I bought this car in MI last year and it was shipped here, in Montenegro.
The system is done in Belgrade, Serbia.

I have to pass one test, it's called A test, just to verify that this system is installed properly.

That's true.
Some Ford's must have another small bottle with additive so every car can run on this.

Thats cool and all but was it worth it? Probably not. Is gas really that expensive that people are converting over to LPG and buying prius's and Ford aspires?

gas might be 20 bucks a thimble full there gumbi.

Yeah but we are still one of the nations with the cheapest gas. GO anywhere else and gas is near double of what we pay. Regardless of climbing prices, it still doesn't justify buying a piece of shit prius.

I'm getting a Diesel, before I would consider something like a prius.

Montenegro.

I think here is a member from Croatia and he did same think, he have a 540i on LPG.

1 galon gas: $6,20
1 galon LPG: $3,78

I need to pay a lot more attention. Anywhere outside of the US, you guys are paying insane amounts for gas so the LPG thing is a nice conversion. But we in th states whine a bit too much about gas prices.
