I am doing a swap from auto to manual, I got the m3 zf trans and now i am looking for a rear end , I have found a 750 e32 parts car and every thing is for sale at crack head pricing , i pulled all the brakes and now i am deciding if i need the rear end , its $20 if i pull it my self , DO I NEED IT ? I came across some great deals , a m50 complete engine for $75 needs rebuild for my m54 cranked stroker

whats the gear ratio and does any one have a link on how to remove it ? Thanks , the v12 is $100 but you must pull it out , that comes complete $75 for the trans ,,,, a e34 v12 would be unpractical :devillook

It won't bolt into place without changing a number of rear end parts and pieces.
If it is actually a limited slip, it is worth much more than $20. It's a 3.15 if the car is a '90 or earlier. If it's a post '91 or later, very unlikely that it's a limited slip.
