Hey,
Where is the best place to buy a set of wheels in Canada? Should I be looking at individual sellers or from a company? Does tirerack.com ship to Canada? or have a Canadian equivalent?
Thanks

Check out the Tire rack website. They do ship to Canada. The shipping costs include duty, pst/gst.

Drive down to the states and have a shop put them on then drive back. People from Vancouver do it here at our COstco all the time. I think they save not having to pay the PST, GST and all those taxes that Cannadians have to pay.

How would one go about driving south of the border and buying rims and tires? What do you do with the set on which you drove down?
Surely the border inspectors will see the items in the back seat.
How could that possibly be explained?

have you checked out tirerack.com?
try wheelmax also, but I'm not sure what they can do about taxes and customs.

try carmodifier.com or tiretrends.com - both canadian, no duty or brokerage fees. Carmodifier charges $50 per set of tires and another $50 for set of wheels. Tiretrend charges $9.50 per item. Both will mount and balance at no charge if you buy tires and wheels.

If you know somebody in Niagara Falls leave 3 tires and come back later for them(one or two at a time).
