I'd like to know if you guys use a hand mit to help wash your car or a sponge?, i am currently using a sponge and dont know if a hand mit would be better.

not sure if this is the place to ask, but i'd also like to know what type of air freshener do you guys use? :)

I prefer a high quality wash mit. Sure, they cost more than a sponge, but swirlmarks and scratches show up naturally and I have found the washmit to help minimize adding more during washing. Of course no matter what you use you need to rinse it and keep it clean.

I used to use those bone shaped sponges from Wal Mart or wherever. They work fine, but they do retain dirt. I usually broke out a new one every 2 washes or so, and demoted the one I had been using on the body to wheel duty.

Recently, I decided to give one of my PakShak microfiber towels a shot, and I really like the way it works. Its nice because folded up its about the size of my hand, and I can refold it while washing to expose a clean part of the towel. When I'm done I just run it in through the wash.

Washmitts are probably the safest way to go though. They've got thicker pile than most towels so they hold contaminants further from you paint. You don't need to wear it on your hand if you don't want to either, if you want you can just use it like a sponge. (I hate the feeling of a wet wash mitt dangling from my arm) :dunno
