Ive been battling mentally about what suspension i should "upgrade" to on my 95 525i. its about time i change the suspension(shocks and springs). I would like to replicate an m5 stance and ride. i dont want the car to be crushed but i do like a nice m5 stance and id like to not go over a bump on a slight turn and have the car skip over the bump. so to some up im looking for an m5 stand and height and a tight but stockish comfortable ride. if that even makes sense. i dont want a clown looking car because this is a BMW not a lil honda. any economical suggestions would be appreciated.

Check this out. I have the M-Tech's and love them. Not too low or too harsh, just right.

The M-Tech spring are what BMW calls the Low Slung Sport suspension. They are significantly lower than stock but not as low as H&R or Vogtlands, they are also harder to get and a bit more expensive since they are an OEM part which must be ordered from Germany. Bilstein Sports are awesome but I wanted a softer ride as the Bilsteins are a little firm for my taste in a touring car. I have the Bilstein sports in my Miata and love them in that application. Maximillian Imports can get M-Techs within a couple weeks if thats what you want.

sure , do u have a number? or web address? so u suggest boge struts and the m tech springs. i also have an issue with my thurst arms , bushings r chopped up, what do u suggest on that? mechanics have said the arms r good just get the bushings, what do u think?

I would replace everything while you're in there, not just the bushings. No point in paying for the labor twice. Also you should consider upgrading to the 750 bushings as well as having all the steering components inspected. When I replaced all my parts at once the difference was unbelievable.

Are the 750il bushing better than the M5 bushings? Is there an assembly with arms and bushing together? If so where would I find them? BMA? All I need to have my car drive comfortably would be some new shocks, springs and most importantly the thrust arm(bushings) because my car shimmies at 60mph and steering is never straight. I actually used to get alighments and they would last for the night. Then the next morning I'd wake up to the steering all screwed up. So far I think I'm going to go with the m tech springs and either the boge struts or the bilstein sport struts. I want as close to M5 ride as possible. With out sacrificing ride and a overdoing crushed look. I want a classy dropped looking, a little sporty ....
