haha, im here in kalamazoo and its almost that bad, sort of an ice/snow/slush mix which is more horrible to drive on than solid snow. Lets just both cross our fingers for a snow day tomorrow! good luck!

yeah we got a good solid 10 inches here today and we are suppose to get two more tomorrow :(
I cleaned the bimmer off and started her up and let her run for awhile to melt the snow. Then warmed up the chevy to drive! :D

You dont get a snow day for that? up here in washington we get the day off if we get 4 inches. If we got 2 ft like you did, that would be a month off for sure

that's cause michigan actually has plows and salt trucks, in the PNW we don't, we have hills (and mountains) and people here don't know how to drive in the white stuff!
70 mph through snow on my commute in detroit was the norm...

Keap in mind that were getting all of that pluse the lake effect from Lake Michigan here on the other side of the state. I live west of Grand Rapids, MI, and I drive 35 miles to work at 5:15 in the morning. At that time only the main roads are plowed, and not very well either. I'd still rather drive a truck in this weather, but for a car these cars are amazing in the snow.

The majority of people here don't know how to drive in the snow either. They get to scared of it, and the second they start to slide, spin or whatever they jam on there brakes, and crank the stearingwheel, and then they've lost controle

The last time it snowed here was... never in recorded history... although TECHNICALLY it did start snowing once, high up in the atmosphere, then cause it was warm it melted and came down as rain, so snow has never fallen here.

i live for the snow, it is great fun and can teach you so much about traction for your car it is amazing. easy dritfing with being on the edge of traction. shit we had that snow/ice storm the last few days and i look forward to side streets so i can drift all the corners and freek out the other drivers.
I love snow and kinda have to since i ski/snowboard 2x's a week and drive 110 miles round trip each time through the snow belt in my bmw i have gotten used to it. i have only had RWD cars for the last 18 years all lowered. so who ever told you that a suv is better in the snow is full of shit, i pass them in the diches all the time. RWD of FWD is predictable in the snow 4WD or AWD is great until you get out of alignment then you might as well kiss your ass goodbye, once the wheels hook up it is nothing but trouble.
last time i missed work for snow the entire area was out of power for 7 days. i do not get snowdays at work. i do not care though i enjoy the drive to work more on those days.

It sucked, the wipers on my car decided to stop working yesterday during the storm. That was not a fun drive home.

I drive 70 miles round trip every day to work. I leave at the same time every morning, and as long as traffic isn't conjested I usually get to work earlier when the roads are bad. Last week wednesday I counted at least three trucks, and or suv's, and countless cars, pluse one semi in the dich. One more thing about the trucks is that they tend to go alot farther off the road seeing how they're not plowing snow the whole way.

Lol, dude, did you paint your kidney surround black to match mine? You need to keep the chrome kidneys and black out the ambers bro!
I did it to look similar to the old sharks and e30s. Get some more pics of what it looks like, I want to see how it came out. :)

It seems like lately they take at least a day and a half before they plow my block. This last round, they didn't seem prepared at all on the main roads and it was pretty messy. The biggest PITA is having to dig out my driveway after the plow goes by, but the one good thing about all the snow is that it fills in all the potholes!
