Got a question for more experienced BMW peeple than myself..

When i inherited this car one of the fog lights was completely filled with water and rusted out.. however the other fog light worked perfectly.. i replaced the foglights with brand new ones and turned them on.. vwalla they worked like a dream..

problem..

since the initial turn on they haven't worked since to matter how much i fiddle with the connections..

anyone got any idea why they not workin??

any help greatly appreciated, :)

Check for voltage at their wires, and check the fuse(s).

Yes you need a multimeter. Heres electricity 101 for the uninitiated.

A multimeter will measure voltage (AC and DC), current and impedance (resistance).

Just set the dial to dc volts at the appropriate scale like in the picture above (max 20 volts dc read) and put the black lead on any chassis metal and probe your 12v feed to your fogs at the connector.
