The door locks on my 1990 525i E34 continuously unlock immediately after I lock it with the key. They will not stay locked. Until I fix the problem, I wanted to know if there is a way to disengage the central locking system and lock the door's manually? Is there a fuse anywhere that I could remove? Thanks.

They should be a fuse on the circuit for the central locking system. I would guest under the back seat for location.

I would suspect a bad door pinswitch or door lock actuator. The resistance of a bad door lock solenoid or linkage might cause the central locking system to "unlock" in case of a fault.

I know there are other topics that cover this problem and I'm sure you can find it if you search. I have not searched this topic before tho.

First of all, you need to know that your year model car has been having this kind of problem. Water penetration occurs causing the actuators to become inoperative. This effects E30 vehicles produced between 11\91 and 12\92. Faulty resistors are the culprit. Make sure P/N 61 31 1 380 302 is used as a replacement. There is a 30 Amp fuse controlling it but the cluster includes your interior light, the radio/ antenna, on board computer. The placement number is 27. Your best bet it seems is to unplug them.
Good luck!
