I was going to take pictures today of my car, and I got in an accident. :( I was going around a sharp curve not very fast and i guess i let go of my clutch to fast or something and i spun around in a full circle then went tail end first into a ditch. Luckily some guys pulled over and helped pull me out. Well my bumper came off half way and got cracked pretty bad on the bottom near the exhaust. I am just glad I am ok, could have been worst. :(

Anybody have directions on how to install a bumper on an E34?:(

In this thread there is a pdf for the Bentley... find the exterior section and it will walk you through the bumpers.

It's an easy task.

Wow, really sorry to hear this...but just in case you didn't use the rear towing hook and were pullin on the bumper alone...this bit of info might come in handy for you in the future...or for anyone else that may find themselves in a similar situation.

Always use the front or rear tow hooks if the car needs to be towed or pulled...instead of tying on to suspension or other body parts.

Good luck with the repair.

So that's what that little square is on the rear bumper! I've always wondered what the heck that was. Good to know.
