if you want a very complete documentation, read keith's website, my2002tii.com it's an awesome website and can show you a lot of the steps involved in restoring an 02. as far as parts go, bavarian auto, 2002ad for remanufactured and harder to find parts, and ireland engineering are just a few. check the search function on this forum for other parts dealers. and look over at bmw2002faq.com for another knowledgeable family and lots of parts/cars for sale. i'm sure others here could give a more complete list. those are just some of the ones i use.

Another good restoration site is Martin's http://www.2002tii-restoration.org/. Try to get the a rust free car as much as possible although there are no such things. And make sure that you have about 10K to blow around, believe me it accumulates very fast.
