Would anyone be interested in carbon fiber moldings?
I have been doing research on carbon fiber overlay and I think I'll start with moldings. They will not be 100% carbon, just carbon overlay.
I was also thinking..
B-pillars
Seatbelt bolt cover
Door handles
Trying to think of some other rare things. I found some cool sources for carbon fiber in alot of different weaves patterns and colors. Even one much like the M3 GT's carbon bits.
Don't know how many of you would like to see stuff like that for these cars. I'd like to make a few as a project.

Yeah so is modding a honda 400EX ;)
When does carbon fiber really EVERY serve a purpose other then looks (maybe a hood and trunk will save a little weight bit those look better painted). Some people like to make their cars look different and some people like to make their cars faster. I like both..

Belive me I understand, CF serves no purpose, which is why I ask the question, why pay a shitload of money to put CF all over the car and have it look like crap. Why wouldnt you save that money and make the M faster? Dont get it

Sorry that you don't get it.
Some people like BOTH non functional and functional mods. I don't get why people like to spend $600 on playstations games controllers and waste away at guitar hero...guess some people just like different things. I think that carbon fiber can be done the right way and the wrong way. Small accents of carbon fiber looks nice I think. I just am not a fan of unpainted carbon hoods and trunks and having it on steering wheels and shift knobs ect.
But anyways :)

Because it's your opinion that it would look like crap? Not everyone thinks like you. Let the guy do what he wants.

Yes, there is even one guy who got his stolen twice...
Our moldings, front bumper mesh, and fog lights get stolen all the time. Hell there was one thread where a guy's rear bumper was stolen while he was in class...
Once a guy tried to steal my side markers, luckily a board member saw him and drove towards him and scared him off.

Wow well I guess I am lucky I'm in an area where people know nothing about BMW and don't have many around here. I do know a guy with an evo that had a few things taken.

He CAN do what he wants I am not trying to stop anyone.
I agree with CF to save weight on a race car, or on a regular car too. As far as a hood or trunk or something like thats cool I guess. What bothers me is the people that do CF trunks or hoods "to save weight" but have 3 amps and two 12" in the back.
To me CF interior is like the people that put beanie babies or hats on their rear windows back shelf, it looks stupid and serves no purpose!
If I have money that I am debating what to do with. I am putting it into the engine or suspension ect so that I can blow the doors off the guy next to me, not dazzle him with pretty CF
So while you guys decorate your cars like a xmas tree and are down at the station trying to get stolen CF parts back Ill be driving my sleeper.

I have already settled it with him, I am paying him for the scratches when I can put some more money in my paypal...
I didn't rip him off he got a $400 phone for $200, i didn't see the scratches on the back as they were under the cover. I am going to send him $20 back. Those pictures are showing worse then what they look like in person with the flash, they are so small and only in sunlight at and angle can you really see them. It was my fault for wording it wrong I should have taken pictures for him to see but I didn't think of it and he didn't ask.

So you're that careless with a product you sell...and now you're trying to get people to buy another product?
I think you're outta your gourd.

I'm not trying to sell I'm trying to see if other people think it would look good.
And It was my fault for not putting up pictures. I have sold motorcycles parts and gear online MANY times on different forums and never had an issue.
IT WAS MY FAULT ASSHOLE. I'm not saying its not. I am sending the guy $20. Thats more then fair I think, $20 for tiny little scratches that scratch fix would clear up for $7.

If you like something aren't you interested? I'm not selling them. I'm making them for myself. Just seeing if there is any interest in the look and the idea. Don't know if others have done anything similar.

Man this section is going down hill. 1 post a day of people putting in fixed back racing seats in daily drivers and CF craze is just out of control... The current trend is to put as much carbon fiber parts on as quickly as possible...
