I called him and he immediatlely raised the price to $350 he also claims they are factory wheels from a 2001 750 but to me they look like ACS type 3's. Does anybody have any idea?

The look like ACS. but I cant tell if they are replicas from the picture. The center cap is missing. Usually the center cap will give clue to if the wheels are real. Dealer do install replica on new cars. You really have to look at the back of the wheel to see if there is an AC Schnitzler logo casted on the wheel.

If those are even BMW wheels, they certainly weren't the 'factory' or stock wheels from an '01 750. '01 750's had the M-Parallel wheels.

The guy I talked to on the phone sound kinda shady, he also said one of the wheels was bent but could be repaired. I think I may still head up to see them tomorrow. If they are gone oh well.

Probably knockoffs of ACS wheels. That's the ACS design...
If they're counterfeit and bent, not worth it...

I Think The Acs's Are Two Piece With Bolts Around The Outter Edge. Maybe Not Though. They Are Definately Not Factory. Maybe Dealer Installed.
Most Likely The Po Had Bmw Center Caps In Them, Leading This Owner To Assume They Are Factory Wheels.
You Should Ask Him For Part #'s Off The Inside Of The Rims.

  BMW FACTORY WHEELS!
It's easy to see if they are E38 wheels...just go to any of the 3 online part databases...or the BMW wheel charts:

BTW...NO...these are not BMW factory wheels

If they have no scuff marks and if the dent can be easily repaired, it might be worth the $350. Considering they have tires too. 350 aint bad.

They look to be a set of Chrome ACS Type III's
If they are real there will be a stamp on the inside AC Schnitzer the other stamp would be CEC. Here are mine on my E38 750IL

I'de jump on them if the damaged wheel was fixable. Be nice to clean them up and restore them myself. I could always turn around and sell them too. Even if they are not real, many people cannot afford real AC wheels. AC is very expensive stuff.

Yes you are quite correct to say they are very expensive wheels. Authentic AC Schinitzer wheels are pricey but I cant say if the one's on CL are real or not by just looking at a fuzzy picture. They do look worn however.
