Alrite, so my 11/92 325i (auto) has been having some problems lately and we've determined its the computer, if i were to swap out the DME for a 95 325i (auto) would i have any problems with it, the closes DME i could fiind is a 12/92 DME from a 325i. Basically i'm asking if it matters if the years are different. thanks.

If your engine is the non-vanos engine ('92s didn't have VANOS, but yours is a late production date...) you'll have issues with a DME from a Vanos engine.

otherwise it should be fine.

Theres prly 2 or 3 different 1992 DME maybe more.
Definitly,check the numbers.
You could find one 2 years younger that may work, where the one 1 month younger may be the wrong one.
Just check the number, its the only way to know.If the numbers arent the same, its simply not going to work properly i,f it works at all.

It should either be a 402/405 or a 413.

I have two red label 413s for sale that will work with your car if it has Vanos.

FYI. 402/405 = Non Vanos 413 = Vanos

Red label 413 = Non EWS
Silver Label 413 = EWS
Silver label 506 = EWS (M3)

How much for the red label 413 Non EWS?
