i have tan interior with woodgrain trim. what would be an alternative to the woodgrain trim? any pics?

No pics but i know that there are a few companies that will do custom colors for you. Not much goes with the tan but i think that if you got the OEM color of your cars outside on the trim that it would look Hawt!

I'm thinking...anything that's NOT wood, would be an alternative.
Banana leaves, perhaps? Pieces of asphalt?
Seriously though my friend did it on the cheap with some coloured vinyl when he had his e46 323. Couldn't tell you about the cost because he got hooked up.

I've got a carbon fiber look alike trim all the places where there would normally be wood trim. I have no idea if that was a package of some sort, was there when I got the car.

Yes there was a package of some sort cause I got the same trim and its called technical graphite trim. I absolutely love it. It came an option in some of the 98,99 528i I have posted some pictures under a thread ' Interior Trim ' by e39 driver, check it out.

ha, that wouldn't look all that bad :p
but yea, i'm thinking the same, and still looking for ideas. anyone have any pictures or different trim on tan interior?

You can buy carbon fiber fabric from Jo at Euro-Dyne for $35 a yard
and wrap the trim
