Hey.

I found out last night that me rear driver side tire is wearing on the outside more than the passenger side rear. I figured that I'll be taking her in for an alignment asap.

Question.......

I've been searching and I seem to be coming up with threads about rear tire wear being on the inside instead of the outside. Should I be concerned? and is it possible that one tire could be wearing more/faster than the other? And do the rears usually wear faster than the fronts? I got the front and back set within a week of each other so one set is not much older than the other.

Just a thought..... Could it also be that I have Kumhos? I know they've been rated as the lower end of tires.

also, I was going to get my tires balanced and wanted to know if that is something I should do before or after the alignment, or does it not matter.

TIA guys! , and sorry for any noobiness this thread my have. I'm still learning. :drink1

Get it aligned and I'll bet your camber is off. Should wear evenly or more toward inside of the rears. I go through 2 sets of rears before the fronts. Just part of driving a Bimmer. Assume you're staggered as well? If not, you could rotate for better tread life.

When you balance them won't matter.

Thanks for the advice! I appreciate it. Hopefully it's just the alignment.

Seriously, Kumhos wear out really quick on the rear...
