They are brand new in box. Go to any website that sells Depos to see pics. will fit any e39 any year.

Those are the ones where the fake celis areas on them melt if you dont pop in the proper bulb.

I did =)) But Gumbi's right, I just put high wattage bulbs. If u use ur regular ones, nthn will melt =)

I didnt think that this was possible...I thought it had to be 97-2000 and 2001+ can someone confirm this? if an LED bulb was used, would it melt like that?

these are for pre '01 models, u use the same bulb holder, just swap the lense. LED 1156 bulbs burn cooler, HOWEVER they trigger the warning message on the dash. So I decided to use 50W 1156 bulbs from eBay. Well you see what happened on the pics. 50w bulbs instead of 11w not only are brighter, but also are much hotter :) The "CELIS stripes" lookin part is made out of softer plastic i guess, so it melted within 10 mins of driving.
