How to get wheel grime off.

I just bought a set of CSL reps and i just started to clean them. I cant seem to get the rough black wheel grim off the crevices in the rims rims. I have the armor all rim cleaner but it just gets the dust off. I tried a razor blade to see if the stuff would actually come and and it does come off. So im asking what can i use to get this done without scrathching anything? Thanks.....Jay

i wouldn't use a razor blade. its tough to get it out of the crevices. have you tried using Simple Green on the tough spots, followed by scrubbing with a paint brush or wheel brush?

i picked a soft paintbrush at Lowe's and wrapped the metal part in duct tape to prevent scratching. i use that to clean my wheels. i think it works better than any "wheel brush" ive ever bought.

I've used mineral spirits to cut through tough crud on painted surfaces, without damaging the paint.
