To those who have started threads with the following...
"should i buy this...."
"m3 for 7k?"
"whats a good price for a 4dr m3"
"is this m3 a good deal"
"fair asking price for an m3?"
"my ass leaks when i fart"
...you are a waste of bandwidth and thread space.
I hate you and your time waisting posts.

a lot of times, people on here will know the exact car that you are looking at and are able to tell you things you didnt know...which ends up being helpful, unlike the post you started.

The price related or good deal questions should be asked because that information changes all the time. These cars depreciate, they should be able to ask. If they are asking for a DIY thats been posted and asked for a hundred times I can see what you mean.

That doesn't always find you exactly what you need, and when it comes to car pricing it can be iffy. I mean this guy almost fell for a fake m3 for 7k. Then again your kind of right. After this guys thread people can now look up the subject and find the threads he started which is a good thing.;)

Forums are for people to discuss, chat and post about whatever. Without these things it would be a dead forum. Also if everything needs to be searched first only then we'll end up with nothing new eventually. Just don't read the post you dislike and enjoy whatever it is you are interested in.

I too try to avoid these post, but when I come on the forums after a hard-day's work, I want to read about some wrench-turning, vacuum leak, cracked oil pan, blown head gasket, failed cv joint, m50 manifold swap, custom exhaust, etc. that someone had encountered that day. Not some poop head 16 year old trying to figure out if daddy is paying too much for his graduation present or if his m3 can beat a 350z...so on and so forth. Though I am sure you could consider this post just as much, if not more of a waste of time, at least some people agree with me. It's sad coming into the E36 M3 section and only finding nonsense, I want substance damn it.
/end rant
cheers to all who know where I am coming from, even though its a bit pointless

fyi...bimmerforums, especially the e36 m3 forum is probably the most comprehensive forum in the world when you consider amount of info, support, professional support, variety of topics, reiteration of points, continual testing, etc...the list goes on and on.

Also useless posts and/or threads.
Climate Control problems anyone? Shutting on and off randomly?
Our cars are almost all a decade old, with millions of current and past owners. You'd think there's an archive of info on this. Oh wait.... :shifty
Really though, nobody likes to help somebody that doesn't even try to help themselves first.

when there is a thread on page ONE, and someone comes along and posts another new thread asking the SAME dam* thing, why does that make sense? at all?.............. and thats talking about one page of threads, not even a simple search even
+1 with what someone said earlier... if you cant help yourself first and search, then why should "the forum" spend their time helping....
i can understand posting new pics, and maintenance pictures with questions, but the same dam* questions over and over and over
HELP YOURSELF FIRST ....

what kind of gas do our cars need. 89 octane is fine right??
sorry, but in all srsbsns, lighten up. Newbs probably dont know the wealth of knowledge there is on this forum. Not every forum on the internet has this much info(not NEAR this much in fact). So they just ask. No harm done.

I agree with some of these. the original post, not so much. Asking about new possible cars, is valid posts.
However what bugs me.
A person makes a post asking a question about a problem they think is urgent.
They don't get a reply in five minutes, so they make ANOTHER thread with the title worded different, explaining the exact same problem, and asking the exact same question...... :shifty

Yeah, there's definitely some stupid posts. People are just lazy and don't want to find their own answers sometime.exactly. the funny thing about that is, if they would search, they'd most likely have their answer in a minute or two for the more common questions instead of waiting for people to reply.
for the some-what complicated questions, they'd have their answers in about 5 minutes instead of a day or two. :rofl

I dont mind reading about what people think they are worth or if its a good deal. I like to see what deals people are finding on these cars, or what they are considering paying for one. To me those threads that you listed are the least BS compared to some of the other stuff that gets listed on here...
