bump. any word on if Mr. Project will be entering wither the Escrap or the Banana?

Mr Project
04-18-2003, 07:45 PM
Yeah, because they are both so.... european....

By June I should have the Jetta done.... oooh... stock 8 year old VW. That'd bring a crowd. :D

hopefully the E28 will look good enough to show.

Armen I expect you to be there with your dad's benz... and your dad!

we intentionally schedule it on fathers day to give the dads out there an extra excuse to go!

Mr Project
04-21-2003, 01:15 PM
Ehh... dad's not really the car-show type... and the benz is a nice drive, but it has the usual scars of a 200k car. I'll mention it to him, though!

my dad always goes with me.... its pretty laid-back, the real goods are the italians that show up... soooooo nice.

tell your dad we'll spend saturday on a nice polish/wax for him... maybe that will encourage him.... and do you think he might be interested in a nice used 528iT???? :D:D

oh, and the caravan usually leaves town at about 9 or 10.... gathering point is usually the U-Stop at US-6 & 84th Street

How many people show? Like 10?

If its big I would be willing to come up. Would a local be willing to donate a driveway and a hose so I could scrape all the bugs off?

I'm hoping I'll still have my car. Otherwise, I'll slap a Roundel on my Omni. :D

I believe last year we had 70 entries. Not only BMW's, but all European cars.

Mr Project

Ryan - I'd love to offer my driveway, though it's in Lincoln, so not really on your way up from KC...

And trust me, your car doesn't qualify as antique, especially in my driveway. :D

>>edit: from KC, not to KC.....duh.

I'll have to check into it with the Family. My dad isn't exactly a big car show fan either......I'll see what I can do though.

Bump this up to the top... who's still planning on attending? Dad's not bringing his car (nobody has time to clean it up), but there will be a Badeer Boys contingent in the afternoon.

dude... I got nothing else to do on saturday... I'll detail it for him if it needs it. I'm obviously not showing the E28, and the touring can't be made to be show-clean without an absurd time investment. so if the Benz needs love, let me know!

Mr Project
06-11-2003, 03:23 PM
Hmm... if you want to take it on, that could work... you realize that other than your door, the e28 looks better, right? :)

If you're serious, I'll let him know... I'm sure he could leave it here on Friday and take the truck home or something.

And why is that? I'll be pimping in my Omni. :D

Mr Project

Heck yeah! The Omni is just a cousin twice removed from a VW Rabbit... That's european! :)

Jeremy-
If nothing to do on Sat, wanna help with a plug replacement? :D

Dark Helmet
06-11-2003, 11:43 PM
ummm, what kind of plug????

and Armen, I really doubt it looks worse than the E28, I just don't think that its possible!!! I'll do the ole wash, polish, wax... and maybe adam can bring over the clay-bar stuff! :D:D

I need to check things over with the wife, but I should be free starting at noon.

Jeremy-

I'll bring the clay bar, and spark plugs and oil to change......as well as my CAI (hopefully Jim will be able to help install.......)

See some of you at Husker BMW Thursday?

Lots of E36 and E46's
