View Full Version : Someone knocked my mirror off, how do i reattach?

I went out to laguna tonight and parked my car on pch. when i came out, my passenger side mirror is just hanging by a wire :mad. i just wanted to see if there was a way to reattach it... here are pics.

If anyone knows how i could reattach it, please let me know. i appreciate it.

Line up the 2 pins and push hard. Be careful that you don't break it. Don't hit the housing out at the thin pointy end.

Oh Ooooo! looks like you need a new one. Theres a one time brake off with those, after that its broken.

I knocked mine off accidently by walking by it in the garage one time. Just pop it back on and should be fine. Just have to push with some effort.

You just push those 3 titties back into their place. May require some impulse but it will seat back in there.

It does just pop back in. Just be careful with it. slowly push harder on it till it pops in. Its loved and hated. loved cause it comes off without breaking, but its a pain in the ass at times too. some say it comes off too easy and is too hard to get back in. but hey, at least it doesn't break off.

Push it back in. Make sure it "clicks" into place all the way.

Line up the pins, and apply even force. they will pop back in.
