I am writing my first post. I am at a lost with this problem.

I have a 94 318i, I found the water pump was bad. I changed the pump and the stat. Primed the radiator and all The only thing I have noticed is the fan in the front is not coming on. Is this fan only used by the A/C or does it cut on year round. Oh yeah, I also changed out the fan clutch. HELPPPP

The electric fan only comes on when it gets really hot or when Air con is on. Did u bleed the cooling system properly? http://www.pelicanparts.com/bmw/techarticles/E36-Coolant_Flush/E36-Coolant-Flush.htm

I did everything pelican parts say to do, so I do believe I bleed it correctly.

I am in the same position, same car. Really pissed. I even flushed the system out with a cleaner, replaced radiator, and this is a fresh head all to spec. Only thing I can think of is maybe backpressure from a bad cat is causing it to heat up. Or bad temp sensor possibly? My cat hasn't starting glowing red when the car is really hott, so I don't think it's the cat.
