Hey there,

So I have a question that I am hoping you could awnser for me.

When I am driving in hectic traffic, my Car's temp actually stays right dash in the middle, but I can hear a secondary fan comming on (Please tell me exactly what that is) and also I can REALLY feel a decrease in my car's performance.

Now is there a way to get rid of this, or do you think I should leave this as is, and dial down and relax, accepting that this is what the car will do in stop and go traffic ?

there is a sticky in regard to fan delete mod that will give you the information you need or just search fan delete mod

If you notice it when the engine gets hot and you notice the power loss, it is most likely the fan clutch engaging that is connected to your water pump. This is normal. If the electric fan is not doing a good enough job the fan clutch will fully engage the fan that is connected to it to help cool the coolant.

Get rid of it with the fan delete mod. (search for FDM)

Or leave it as is if you don't like fixing what isn't broken. (do note that the fan actually is known to break and cause massive damage, though - again search FDM)

This is by design. The fan mostly spins freely until the clutch gets hot enough to fully engage the fan for extra air flow when things heat up.

Ok, but will this make my car overheat even more ?

^ Yes, but normally the fan delete "kits" (understeer sells them) comes with water wetter and a different temp thermostat to compensate.

What? Isn't it the other way around? The electric fan is off by default. I believe it only turns on when you're running AC and the engine is getting too hot. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I have yet to see my electric fans turn on.

Correct. If you have A/C, turn it on and the aux (electric) fan should come on.

My aux fan comes on with AC only, so far
