Whats the biggest rim size you can fit on E39, front?

i know a few people have 20inch rims on their E39's, my question is about the WIDTH of the rim (I.E. a common size i have seen is 8 to 8.5inches in the FRONT, with 235/35/18's or 235/35/19's.
has anyone seen or know someone that has this setup... Front=19inch, width=9.5 if so was their car lowered? did they have their fenders rolled?

Usually the people at bimmer.org have good tech advice, well atlteast the E34 people do, you might have some luck over there. So which model do you have? I have an E39 as well, not me, but my mom does have a 540i, the torque is awesome.

Currently running 275/35/18 up front on 18x9" rims. Rims are from Dinan and need no spacers. Can't imagine anything larger fitting under there.

I know someone who runs 19" in Sacramento.
Not sure of the width. It's lowered with Dinan stage III.

Yes plenty of people run 19s and even 20s on their e39s (5 series 97-03)

Edit, saw the original post. Ive seen 9 up front and 10.5 in the rear. Theres great m-par reps in large staggered sets

some guy told me that this other person put these on his car:


The back end setup is 28 inch by 37 wide cast iron 1 peice wheels directly off a john deer 38600 haymaster combine. So is the front set up.
After extensive research i picked this setup because the deep dish offset the width of the rim negating the need for custom spacers.

Although i did need to roll the fenders/doors/bumpers/hood with a sawzall bi-metallic blade.

My only complaint is that i get alot of road noise when prius' get stuck in the treads.

o btw after rolling the fenders you can get M5 fender liners to get more clearance inside.

Yes with arches rolled they will fit... Lot of rolling. There is a norweigan lad with a blue s/c 530i running that setup. Was just Reading it in performance BMW magazine

I'm running 19 x 9.5 in the front with +10 offset(with spacers), and in the rear I am running 19 x 10.5 with +22
