So last week I put my white faced gauges in. After I finished, I reinstalled the gauges in the car and ever since, the air bag light stays on for about 5 minutes after I start the car. I read the manual and it means there is something wrong with the system. What could I have done with the gauges that could have tripped the system? Could I have maybe not secured one of the plugs into the back of the cluster? Any ideas would be great. Thanks

the airbag light on my 330ti stayed on, too, for about 2 minutes after starting the car.

after a routine trip to the local dealer, they reset the light, and it hasn't reappeared since.

that is correct, i am no longer with UUC Motorwerks.

i have joined with a new partner in Rogue Engineering. with the engineering and developmental resources we have, i expect very exciting things to finally come to fruition. this would not have been possible with my former company.

you can contact me privately or visit the website for more information.

The SRS light may come on due to a fault in sensor which is integral to the seatbelt latch. A reset of the light may not be permanenet; it was not for me. The dealer replaced my latch and sensor assembly free, although it is supposedly not covered under the CPO plan. However, BMWNA considers this a safety issue, and is more lenient.

OTOH, yesterday, I nearly shelled out a few hundred for a stock HFM, before I read the CPO book for the service writer, and realized that the HFM was indeed a covered component. So, perhaps the SRS system was really covered, too, and the writer just couldn't interpret the acronyms.
