I just finished claying my car. wow, feel like glass again. But my question is: What can i use as a substitute lubricant. I ran out of the stuff they gave me and I want to use my bar one more time before tossing it.

Quick detailer or just don't dry off your car after washing and use that water/soap mixture for luby. BTW: If you only got 1 use out of the bar before running out of lubricant- you used too much.

My thoughts exactly, Greg. My first time I used way too much lube (that does not sound right at all, does it? ;)) and I ended up tossing that clay bar. I can now get between 2-3 cars out of each Mother's clay bar and bottle of lube.

Oh, and Monterey, I hope you waxed/sealed the paint after you clayed it. You have to follow up with a wax or sealant (I like to follow clay up with Klasse, or with swirl removal products if necessary then Klasse) after you clay to keep the contaminants from getting right back to your paint.

yup, i did. Hey what do you guys think about the klasse glaze(silver bottle) I don't think it does anything. I like the all in one by itself.

Did you try testing for smoothness after claying by using a clean plastic ziploc bag? Mine felt a little rough still but after polishing with Menzerna using a PC it became smoother.

Yea you can just use the soap/water mixture. Does the same job. Dont forget to finish that up with some sealer/wax.
