I'm having someone weld up the air ports on the flanges of my S52 headers and I need to know if it's mild steel or cast?

While I'm here.....what is the best way to plug the air ports? just a small plug of steel? I have heard of completely filling the port but I would need to deck the flange. I don't think I have that option.

Any help would be appreciated as I'm bringing the headers in for welding today.

resently replaced the rear one- flange does not look cast. I would say mild and all the tubes are welded to the flanges on both ends. Hope this helps.
As for the air port on the flange- my thought would be to weld a "cap" over it vs filling in with welded bead.

Ehhh Stainless... The 95 was cast, the OBD2 were SS, as is the rest of the exhaust.

Yea, nevermind. They are stainless including the flanges. I wasn't positive about the flanges.
