anyone know what this is?

i have a 96m3 5speed manual,shifter shakes while driving and in gear and seems to be getting worse,no problems going into gear or anything like that it has no other symptoms. i was thinking maybe trans mounts?

get the UUC black ones. I have them and the difference was like night and day. I changed them with 80k on the car.

It could also be the Guibo or the center support bearing. Although I think the center support bearing makes a clanking sound when that goes bad.

I'd check either the transmission mounts or the guibo

Sounds like tranny mounts. Jack it up and visually inspect for irregularities.

Yeah, probably trans mounts if the shaking isn't rpm dependent.
