I need help: Transmission question!

So I'm thinking about buying an automatic 1995 325i with 135000 miles. I took it to get checked out today and it had a transmission fluid leak and I'm not sure if it has had the transmission fluid changed (ever, yikes).
If it has never been changed, if I do a transmission service now and get some new fluid, will it be ok?
I'm guessing the answer to this is "it depends" but your thoughts would help a lot. I really like the car but I'm just worried after reading all the bashing on their automatic transmissions!

if it has a leak, any new fluid will leak out. How much are you buying it for?

Flushing a trans with high miles and old fluid can be cause more damage then just leaving the old fluid in there. I would take it to a tranny shop or just call them and ask them your best route to take. A/T's can be a pain in the ass at high miles if they were not taken care of. Good luck and Merry Christmas.
