This body shop owner I work with is willing to give me a $750 job for $400(says hes doing me a favor) to get rid of 2 silver dollar door dings on drivers door, a pretty large dent on drivers fender, and a peeling front bumber(guessing it was painted before) on my 03' 330xi. I figure I shouldn't do it for that cheap but Im sure I will be selling the car so I need it as cheap as possible. What if I wanted a factory style job.. What would that cost me? How long before a cheap job like this will look like crap? Thanks a bunch.

something like this can easily cost you$1500-$3000. a cheap job would be crapypy prep work. so make sure that the prep work is done right. yes hes giving you a deal. but that doesnt mean it should be a shitty job.
let me ask you. do you have full coverage. if so hell! do an insurance claim. the $400 is probably close to your deductible anyways. just something for thought.

good paint work is all in the prep work. anyone willing to spend extra time prepping is good in my book. you and I could shoot a paint gun. it is the body shops who prep who actually do the best work!
