I will start the car. It does not sound to good. The engine will start to stutter and then die out in less than 30 secons. Anyone have any idea on what the problem could be. Any help will be much appreciated.

Vacuum leaks, fuel filter, fuel pump. After that I'd have to open a manual.

I've had the same problem before, done multiple things to fix it. 1st was pull the ECU (computer) and open it all up, sit it in an oven at low temp for 5-10min, pull it out for 5, back in for 5, etc till you really think it's nice and dry. The 92 E36 always has a problem with rain-water getting backed up and dumping right onto the ECU compartment. Other than that, I also put a ton of di-electric grease in the O2 sensor connector and plugged it back up. I noticed that water can get up in there when driving through rain-puddles and snow...so try that out. If none of that works, you're looking at much more work :(

make sure the idle air control valve vacuum line off the throttle body elbow is securely plugged in
