Hey guys I will be looking for a 98 M3 sedan stock or lightly modified in the next month or so. Can I get some advise on what I should look out for What questions to ask. What are the main problems if any with these cars.

all your answers are stickied at the top of this forum seciton.

The very first sticky is for buying a new m3. Then the FAQ section will answer many more questions.

+1 ..

We all did it man...hit the search button and start your reading. Personally, I was hanging around (not on this, but another M3 forum) for just about a year before I finally bought one. I knew what I was looking at by that point in time. A year is a long time. But you can learn what you need to know in a month.

Just read up on RSM's, RTAB's, valve keepers (95 only), cooling system, transmission quirks, and other common issues so you know what you're looking for.

I just bought a black 98 M3 sedan on Saturday. Just like these guys suggested, I got on the forums and started reading...and reading...and reading.

Here is an excellent link to get you started. Well, I can't post URLs because I'm too new (stupid rule, but whatever).

btw, just remove the spaces between all characters preceding edgemotorworks to get the link to work.
