Hi guys.

I have decided to go for some serious power mods for my M3 GT. All options are basically open, well.. almost all. Lets say that the price has a 15.000 euro roof.

What would you go for? turbo, twin turbo, supercharger, engine swap.

Im interested in hearing your opinions and also who I should buy it from.

So you would rule out a S62 swap?

yes, would do LS-1/2 swap before doing S62 swap

Hey thats the cheap way to go, same (or more power) but not a BMW engine. Swapping a chevy into a BMW (this BMW at least) is not an option for me.

What do you guys think about The TwinTurbo system by DA, or some of the Supercharger systems out there?

i wouldn't trust any "DA kit" at all after the crap out there..maybe the only thing i'd get from them would be the piggyback (TSA), MAYBE, on seconds thoughts i'd rather buy PowerMod from Erik @ bavaria cars.
If i were you i'd do a custom kit, single turbo setup,666fabrication exh manifold, full motor build up, get something like a GT4088R, and make like 800whp+++, get a different driveshaft and axles, reinforce many other stuff etc.
that's my opinion

Im aiming at 450-500hp. More is less for me.

Custom kits are to much work for me since I am not a decent mechanic.

please dont swap your engine. your car is too big of a part of history. you are one lucky man to own that car.

Oh no, here it starts again. S62 twin turbo not a possibility?

Swapping engines is not such a bad thing, as long as its a BMW M motor that goes in. I was thinking of putting an S85 in, or S65 but maybe later in the life of the car. My car started out as a GT, but with ceramic brakes, all the suspention replaced and more.. its really getting closer to beeing a BMW M3 GT3 :D

No, i agree with the engine swap. Like i said in the other forum, you could always up the old engine back in if you wanted to put the car back to stock. But it doesnt look like its ever gonna go that way.

how much power can you get out of the 3.0L? 270 rwhp? maybe 300 rwhp?

I have over 270rwhp now on dyno dynamics in shootout mode, so close to 300rwhp on dynojet, still with stock cams etc, there is an S50B30 over here that would have at least 350rwhp on dyno dynamics NA, it has all titanium internals and motec stand alone etc and runs 9500rpm though
