I do. However, I CONTINUALLY wash it throughout the winter though.

I hate salt. I always take it to a buddy's shop and put it on their lift to clean the bottom after every winter as well.

I drive my 1997 on Yokohama AVS Sport through the Maryland winter, relatively mild 13 miles south of Pennsylvania compared to Ontario, Canada. Named "Best Handling Car At Any Price" likely excluded the snowey stuff, so I drive differently of necessity and sometimes rent a car if poor road conditions persist. I do get a charge out of visiting my favorite isolated lots after midnight to use as a private skidpad. Once spent hours doing figure-eights until I was tired of it, working that slip-angle.

What winter or all-season tires are you folks happiest with on four 7.5-inch rims?

when i get around to actually shoveling my driveway (normally have a foot or so that my truck just plows through), it comes out now and then. Only when the roads are dry; don't have the money for winters yet :/

I drive mine year round.

Texas FTW! It's almost possible to ride a motorcycle year round in these parts.

I drive my 400+ rwhp supercharged, cammed 99M3 year round in NH It is even lowered a little on H&R Sports. I use four 7.5 Contour wheels in winter, with 215/50/17 snows. Snows are Dunlop M3, but this is their third winter and will be their last.

Wha?
I live right near you and can't find any deserted lots!

Yeah, of course! Just drive slow and smooth and everything is fine. :D I don't know why everyone complains so much... Oh, and snow tires are a lifesaver :redspot

M3 - UTAH - Daily Driver = YES! I have driven in small storms and big storms. As long as you are not a freaking idiot, it will do its job. Mine has ACS (Traction Control) which helps with excess wheelspin. I have yet to get stuck, but I also don't put myself in situations where its likey I will get stuck. But I don't necessarily change my route. Bottom Line: It will do just fine - just don't drive it like you are on dry pavement!

I used to drive my M3 every day - it would start to plow snow once it reached about 4" or so. With snow tires, it was excellent in the snow. Now, the M3 is sitting in the garage on a charger and the M5 has snow tires on it.

I try not to drive when it rains or snows, but it doesn't always rain or snow in the winter around here. That being said, she does love taking big deep breaths of cold air :D

I am this winter when its clear out. I wont drive it if there is snow on the roads, in fear of sliding off the road and dont want to buy snows. I wish I lived in a warmer climate year round. :(

+1

Seattle and Portland have generally very mild winters with very little if any snow or ice. at least Seattle is like that. And we never get our roads salted. I continually wash mine as well. As a matter of fact it is dry today and 45 degrees out. The abundance of water here really makes temperature extremes a rare event.

I drive the car every day. Had my brother install hot water in my garage, I wash it, including the underside & fender wells every week. I also install a set of BMW mud guards when I put the snows on for the winter and take them off in the spring. The car goes great in the snow with a good set of winter tires

I don't understand these no snow or rain (!) people. This ain't no Ferrari or a cobra. I can sort of understand snow, but rain? This is supposed to be an everyday sports car and was designed as such. It's pretty much a sported up repmobile. Of course people are entitled to do whatever they want with their car, but I just don't understand.

i personally love driving in the rain. my eagle f-1s have excellent wet traction and after it has been raining for about 45 minutes, the virginians have all cleared off the roads, since they are effing retards in the rain and freak out. When the roads are clear, I love to go for nice relaxing drives in the beautiful weather.

I don't have winter tires so I stay away from the snowy roads.

I don't think new england will be getting any beautiful weather for about 4 months. But finding a nice frozen parking lot and doing some 3000 pound figure-skating is a nice treat.

My M3 is a daily driver and I also use it for skiing and snowboarding. I also am running a Eurosport Twin-Screw Supercharger system. Dedicated snow tires are a must as is good common sense... Even with the supercharger system, winter use is no problem. It probably also helps that I've had a lot of experience driving in the snow...

I drive mine year round... of course if I could afford a dedicated winter car then my ///M probably wouldn't be street legal anyways and would never be driven on public roads:cool those are my plans for the future once I get out of the Army and start a real career.
