hi all
I just installed h&r springs w/bilstein sports. My car sits 1.5 inches lower now. My question is, do I need to buy more parts to correct the increased negative camber or will a simple trip to the alignment shop will do?
thanks

The increased camber is what it is now. They may be able to situate your strut to gain or lose .1 camber in the u
You will be able to get the rear adjusted via alignment.

just a note: the rear end of the E36 is set, that is, does not change. Only the front end of an E36 needs to be aligned. Many people do not know this.

Not true. Go look on your rear control arm. There's an eccentric bolt there for adjusting rear camber.

Thank you exodus for backing my point up.
Please do not post something as fact unless you know for sure that it is true. Misinformation does not help anyone.
OP, the shop that aligns your car will also fix your rear camber.
Rear Camber and Toe was adjusted on my 98 328 coupe without any trouble.

I really wish people would stop spreading the idea that rear camber is fixed. I believe even my Bentley says it's fixed, and if you go look under the car it clearly isnt, and even the idea that camber would be TOTALLY fixed on a BMW is ridiculous, imo. :werd:

How much did it cost?

Wasn't very reliable at all.... the rear suspension cannot be adjusted? This is the first time I have ever heard such nonsense.

You guys are so angry.
For the fronts, there is a trick to put washers (aka shims) on the strut/knuckle bolts so that you can get slight adjustments to the front camber. The front doesn't hardly change when you drop though, and the shims just increase negative camber, so it doesn't do you much good.
Just go spend the money on some camber plates.
edit: and adjustable rear control arms.
