I've got a 16cm^2 holset H1C here, with an unknown oil inlet size.

From my internet research it appears that it's a 12mm x 1, 12mm x 1.25, or a 12mm x 1.5. Does anybody know for sure?

I've also got a pair of different M > F inlet adapters (also of unknown sizes) that screw right in, but I'm not sure how to measure the other dimension (or what it means honestly).

(Gold adapters in the picture). If I could measure whether they are 1, 1.25 or 1.5 that would also solve my problem.

First number is the diameter of the tip of the threads in the female part I believe(the male parts will usually be just under this - like 11.9mm). The second number is the spacing between threads. So M12 x 1.0 mm will be about 12mm in diameter, and each thread will be 1mm from the other one. M12 x 1.5mm is a coarser thread of the same diameter, with each thread being 1.5mm from the next one.

Wikipedia has more I'm sure if you're still lost.

My H1C has a metric striaght o-ring thread. I didn't have the necessary adaptors, so I had an awesome welder braze two fittings together, no leaks.

Oh yea, forgot to mention that - use an o-ring on the part of the adapter that screws into the Holset. I don't know if you can deform a copper washer with that fitting enough to get it to seal, but an o-ring should be fine.
