STI vs 335i

wow the sti's are pretty quick. i was on the freeway this afternoon and raced a 07 white STI and it was keeping up with me. i really didnt want to race because i only got like 700mls on my car but i just had to and he found out i just bought my car after reading my temp plates on the back of my car LOL. i was sure i would of had atleast 3 car lengths on him but ionly had like 1 1/2. i respect those sti's now. i just dont wana see what the new evo x is gonna do to use :(

Didn't you say in a previous post that you had a "badass" STI? You should be familiar with it. Besides, it is a boy-racer ricer with a grocery cart handle on the trunk. I think the two cars appeal to entirely different people. The Evo also.

yes i had a 03 wrx (bug eye) with a usdm sti short block. i dusted sti's :), but after racing one they deserve their props cause they are qucik cars plus AWD, i think he might be able to get me from stop to go. i aint to worried about them im worried about them new evo x coming out. correct me if im wrong but arent they like 350+hp?

Unfortunately you can't do much to make them look prettier. Why can't Subaru make a good looking car?! Even the new WRX is fugly. As the saying goes, "Speed fades, but Ugly is forever".

I thought the new Evo was only around 300 hp. The brand new STi had a 0-60 time of 4.6 in the new Winding Road issue.
JB2 and others can beat that, but who cares, we've got better cars.

Good call....My '04 STi is the least ugly of the STi's.

sti are fast once modded stock not too sure about it.i currently own one with a turbo swap in it and thinking about getting a new ride and looking into a 335i.there are pro's and con's on all cars i just want to make sure im on the right path.

They are completely different cars that cant be compared.Bone stock it would be a close race to 60.The 1/4 mile the 335 would edge it out.But if you had a thousand dollars to put into each of them the Subi would smoke the BMW.
